Chinese cupping therapy is a treatment in traditional Chinese medicine performed by attaching cups onto the skin by suction. Underlying tissue is then drawn under the cups when they are left on the skin for a few minutes and increased blood flow to the area will occur. 

It is thought that cupping is an excellent way in which to open the five meridians on the back channels to ensure the energy can flow freely.
